Skilled Nursing

Skilled Nursing

Skilled nursing services are exclusively delivered by registered professional nurses (RNs) and licensed practical nurses (LPNs). These services are essential when a patient's level of need demands the specialized knowledge and expertise of a licensed nurse, rather than that of an aide. All medical services administered by RNs or LPNs must be prescribed by a licensed Health Care Provider.

Typical Service Encompass:

  • Wound care, ensuring proper treatment and healing of wounds under the guidance of skilled nursing professionals.

  • Diabetic teaching, providing education and support to individuals with diabetes to manage their condition effectively.

  • Administration of injections, ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of medications.

  • Bladder catheterization, performed by skilled nurses to manage urinary issues and promote patient comfort.

  • Tube feedings, ensuring individuals receive proper nutrition through enteral feeding under the supervision of skilled nursing staff.

  • Ventilator care, including monitoring and managing ventilator equipment to support patients with respiratory needs.
